Utah State Capital

  • The Rotunda: This beautiful and spacious venue that gives class and elegance to large gatherings and celebrations. It is a room full of history and symbolism. The Capitol dedication in 1916 and re-dedication in 2008 was held in this space and almost all of Utah’s past governors have walked its floor.

     

    White Chapel: Located in the southeast corner of the Capitol grounds, the White Chapel was originally built as a LDS meetinghouse in 1881. The chapel was dismantled and reconstructed on capitol grounds in 1976 and now serves as a nondenominational meetinghouse for weddings, memorials, and other special gatherings. Rehearsal reservations avaliable for this location ($250)

     

    Capital Grounds East Plaza: The East Plaza is perfect for all types of events. The stunning Capitol as a backdrop will add a touch of elegance to any gathering. With a complete view of Salt Lake City and the surrounding mountains, this area is sure to be the perfect location for weddings, receptions, socials, and more.

     

    Capital Grounds West Plaza:The West Plaza is a superb location for any special event, from weddings and receptions to any social gathering. The site offers expansive views of the Salt Lake valley and of the Capitol’s beautifully groomed grounds and monuments. With the Capitol’s stately granite façade, the southwest cityscape, and/or beautiful sunsets in the evening hours, there are many unique backdrops to commemorate your event.
